Dank Type was born out of frustration for the lack of attention given to typographers online. It aims to be a design platform which showcases and exposes the highest forms of typography.
It started out as a curated Instagram page, representing designers of all backgrounds - sharing their work daily, to influence and inspire fellow creatives. In the space of a year, it has grown a large organic social following (currently 32k) and launched a successful Everpress campaign, selling a limited run of long sleeved t-shirts to the very dedicated fans.
The aim now is to grow the brand to a wider audience with the ultimate goal of operating an online hotspot for designers. Dank Type will host a curated roster of typographers, providing them with a platform to exhibit and sell their work through clothing, screen-printed goods, and other associated products.
Dank Type’s main purpose is to give the spotlight to up-and-coming typographers who produce high-quality work, consistently.
